This was the first stone I really got into. I remember being at a Kaskade show at Navy Pier when this awesome chick, Tara handed me over a pink rose quartz. She just told me to hold it for a minute and shortly after I felt a sense of serenity rush over my body. I had a couple crystals at my house from college but I think this encounter really sparked my kick. The rose quartz symbolizes love and harmony. It is a very soothing and calming stone. Use it to open your heart to give and receive love. It helps with forgiveness to yourself and others, helps you move on, and sends out vibrations of love, peace, and harmony. Use it to help with relationship troubles, emotional traumas, healing inner childhood karma, or other emotional issues. I have one around my neck and when I went through a breakup with my last boyfriend, my doctor told me he could feel the energy of it really helping to heal my heart. Crazy, right? I thought so too! However, this stone is directly connected to the heart chakra. It is useful for strengthening the heart and circulatory system. You can place it on your thymus (above the heart) to treat chest and lung problems. It helps regenerate the skin, soothes burns, and clears the complexion. It is helpful for fertility, pregnancy, birth issues, Parkinson’s Alzheimer’s and dementia. Place it next to your bed or in the relationship/marriage sector of your home to attract love. Hold in your “receiving hand” during meditation. If you are right handed, this is your left hand, and vice versa. Keep this stone nearby to increase harmony between family members or even impatient people in line at the checkout counter when you’re getting all your holiday gifts.
