Jane: A San Francisco Restaurant Stop

Coffee and pastries at JaneWe had just traveled all around the San Francisco area. We got to see Haight and Ashbury, the Fillmore, Mrs. Doubtfire’s house, the Full House House, the Painted Ladies and we were ready for a delicious meal. My cousin Lauren was getting married and her wedding website suggested this place called Jane. It was unreal. They had so many fresh options and I didn’t even know where to begin with my order. Kombucha was ready for purchase; this was my kind of place.

IMG_6096They had wonderful bread options and even a gluten free bread! The dragon fruit smoothie bowl looked extremely enticing so my sisters and I split that. It was dragonfruit, pineapple, banana, ginger, coconut water topped with blueberries, raspberries, hemp seeds, flax seeds, cocoa nibs, goji, mulberries. The colors were magnificent.

I got the Freekeh salad. This had kale, sprouted mung beans and black lentils, currants, green onion, mint, sunflower seeds, cumin lemon dressing. The mint flavor was an interesting addition that made the salad quite unique. My sisters got the turkey sandwich and you were able to get this with gluten free bread. Beth got hers on gluten free bread. Grace stuck with the San Francisco sourdough!

compost at JaneThe restaurant was so cute. It was a bit tough to find space for 5 to sit so we ended up grabbing a spot outside on the bench. This was so fun to enjoy the beautiful San Francisco weather. This location was on Fillmore, 2123 Fillmore Street San Francisco, CA 94115 but they have two more. The prices weren’t too bad, about $8-13 for a salad or sandwich. They even compost at this location! You can watch the chefs cook your food if you go to the back. I’d highly recommend this place to anyone traveling through the area. Enjoy!
