Spooktacular Smoothie Bowl


img_2148Happy Halloween! This is by far my favorite holiday. You get to see everyone’s creative minds really come to life with the costumes. But seriously, how cute are the little trick-or-treaters? My days of hoarding candy are behind me but I had to fill my sweet tooth somehow today. I cannot get enough of these smoothie bowls and found a great way to enjoy this summer-like dish with some fall produce. Pumpkins have a ton of vitamin A so they boost your vision, especially in dim lighting. The toppings are totally up to you but the cinnamon and nutmeg add a nice touch. Enjoy this spooktacular bowl for breakfast or even a mid-afternoon snack.


¾. Cup pumpkin purée (not pumpkin pie mix)
1 banana
¼ cup unsweetened almond milk
½ tsp cinnamon
¼ tsp nutmeg

Apple slices
1 tsp chia seeds
8-10 almonds


  1. Place bowl ingredients into a blender and mix until smooth.
  2. Top with toppings of your choosing.
