Spiced Nuts
Nuts are such a simple thing to snack on throughout the week. It’s one of my go-to snacks like hummus or energy balls. They’re kind of boring by themselves so I try to switch up the flavor when I season them up. You can put whatever spice or herb you want on the nut mixture. I’ve done rosemary, chili powder, and many more.
I love unique blends. My all time favorites include The Spice House’s Lake Shore Drive seasoning or Savory Spice Bohemian Forest. This LSD seasoning is packed with salt, shallots, garlic, onion, chives, ground green peppercorns, and scallions. The green flakes are sure to make you trip. The Bohemian Forest is catching total hippie vibes. It has crushed brown mustard seed, garlic, rosemary, black pepper, Mediterranean thyme, savory, parsley, lavender and sage. I repeat, lavender and sage.

Ingredients
4 cups raw mixed nuts, unsalted
1 ½ – 2 tsp olive oil
1 tsp salt
½ tsp pepper
1 Tbsp chili powder/LSD seasoning/Bohemian Forest
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350℉.
- Put nuts in a baking pan and coat with olive oil. You want to use as little olive oil as possible to get them coated otherwise they’ll get too soggy. Add salt and pepper. Shake to coat. I like to use the baking pans that have the higher edges so I can shake the nuts halfway through.
- Spread the nuts in a single layer on and toast in oven until golden, about 15 minutes. Toss halfway through.
- Let the nuts cool completely. Transfer back into bowl and add the seasoning until well coated.
- Enjoy!
