Strawberries help reduce inflammation so they are great for people with arthritis. Strawberries are filled with phenol phytonutrients such as anthocyanins and ellagitannins. The anthocyanins make strawberries red and also help protect cell structures in the body and prevent oxygen damage in the body’s organ systems. They are a heart-protective fruit.  Ellagitannin in the strawberries decreases rates of cancer death.
