Very Berry Detox Smoothie BowlI taught a smoothie bowl demo the other day and a woman asked for a detox smoothie bowl. There are so many ways to make a detox bowl but this has a few ingredients in it that make it spectacular. The lemon juice and raspberries are a natural antioxidant, which helps to detox the body. Ginger can reduce muscle pain and soreness because it is a natural anti-inflammatory! Leafy greens such as spinach and kale are high in chlorophyll, which help your liver break down and eliminate toxins.


Serves: 1

Total Time: 15 minutes


Gluten free, vegan, vegetarian, dairy free


Ingredients

Bowl:

½ cup packed spinach

½ cup frozen raspberries

¼ cup almond milk

½ cup frozen blueberries

½ frozen banana

½ lemon

½ inch ginger

1 tsp Maca powder (optional)

1 tsp spirulina (optional)

1 tsp goji powder (optional)

1 tsp maqui berry powder (optional)


Toppings:

3 sliced strawberries

1½ tsp coconut flakes

1½  tsp bee pollen

1 tbsp almonds

½ tsp flax seeds

½ tsp chia seeds

½ tsp hemp hearts


Directions

  1. Put spinach, raspberries, almond milk, blueberries, banana, lemon juice, ginger, maca, spirulina, goji, and maqui berry powder in a blender and mix.
  2. Top with ingredients of your choice.
  3. Enjoy!
